VocalScape Inc. Announces SoftPhone for Asterisk IP PBX Users
KATONAH, N.Y., Oct 15, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- VocalScape, Inc. (TM) (http://www.vocalScape.com; PINK: VCSC), a leader in the development of Voice over Internet Protocal (VoIP) Telephony applications, announced today that the company released Eyefon SoftphoneVersion 4A for Asterisk IP PBX Users.
The proprietary Eyefon was developed entirely in-house with the ability to be used for out-bound calling via "Web-to-Phone" or an inbound "Click-to-Talk" button. Click-to-Talk allows a single-click on a button from a website or email allowing users to make free, high quality, inbound local and long distance calls from their computer to any telephone number.
After demonstrating the simplicity of using the web-to-phone for IP PBX, Chief Telephony Engineer Tchavdar D. Paskov says, "The Eyefon Softphone provided by VocalScape has two versions, the Web-to-Phone and Click-to-Talk, which will revolutionize the user experience and quality when making telephone calls online. VocalScape is pleased to release a softphone license bundled with our PBX solutions."
"When our team realized how easy the integration of the Eyefon for IP PBX was and that the web-to-phone was a much more affordable solution than phone set hardware, we created the bundled softphone solution. In addition, 90% of online shoppers are highly reluctant to leave confidential information on-line, so now they are able to click and actually hear someone speak with them directly via the company IP phone system free of charge for both parties," said Ryan Gibson Partner Strategist. "With the launch of Eyefon for Asterisk Phone Systems we've given E-commerce a voice and made it affordable to communicate with staff globally. With the recent relationship signed with Digium, the development of the Asterisk capable softphone was a natural progression."
VocalScape is receiving attention from around the world for its development of IP Telephony and VoIP application solutions.
