Vocalscape Acquires Stake in European Telecommunications Operator Peoplefone AG

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., January 30, 2007 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vocalscape Networks, Inc. (OTC BB:VOSC.OB - News) (Vocalscape), with Peoplefone AG announced today that Vocalscape has acquired a stake in Peoplefone AG. Vocalscape Networks, Inc. will receive 2.1 million shares equal to a 6.32% stake in the company for the development of the Peoplefone Voice over IP (VoIP) system.

Peoplefone AG is active in the telecom area and sells hardware, software and telecom services for VoIP applications. Peoplefone AG owns 100% of Peoplefone Internet Telephonie GmbH in Vienna, Austria. Peoplefone AG operates VoIP networks in Austria and Switzerland. Peoplefone service is distributed through the Peoplefone website (peoplefone.com or peoplefone.ch) as well as at big box retail stores such as Media Markt and Saturn-Finlialen.

Since the launch of the original Peoplefone VoIP service in Switzerland in September of 2005 and the launch of their service in Austria in September of 2006, Peoplefone has experienced amazing growth. In the period between January and September of 2006, network usage and number of registered customers have more than doubled.
